The project was to undertake feasibility studies to explore the possibility of a modern roof top extension which could be developed into a full re-cladding of a 1970s Seifert designed building.
The site is in an area of London which is developing at a pace and is immediately to the north of Sir Norman Foster’s ITN Building. The proposal was to create a rooftop pavilion, by the use of a pre-cast concrete system. Should an overall redevelopment be favoured then this system of pre-cast concrete panels would be employed across the whole building. The architectural order is double height to the south (relating to ITN) and single order to the north (relating to the Listed Building that adjoins the site).
